PROTEST FOR THE REINSTATEMENT OF
ATHENS INTERNATIONAL RADIO 104.4 FM

The employees of Athens International Radio 104.4 FM, the foreign radio station for the Municipality of Athens, are requesting the presence of your community's members at a protest rally on Wednesday, October 27, 2010 at 5.30 pm in front of the Dorian Inn Hotel located in Omonoia Square on 15-19 Pireos Street.

The protest for the reinstatement of Athens International Radio to full working status will coincide with a meeting of candidates for the municipality of Athens for the elections scheduled to take place on Sunday, November 7, 2010.

Your support is essential to display solidarity and the necessity of this unique service provided to the foreign communities living in Athens.

Την αλληλεγγύη τους στον Athens International Radio AIR 104.4 FM εξέφρασαν πολλοί παράγοντες των ξένων κοινοτήτων στην Αθήνα. Χαρακτηρίζουν “δυσάρεστη έκπληξη” και “απολύτως απαράδεκτη εξέλιξη” την κατάσχεση του πομπού του σταθμού, μιλούν με τα θερμότερα λόγια για την ενημερωτική και κοινωνική υπηρεσία που προσφέρει ο AIR 104.4 και ζητούν να βρεθεί τρόπος να συνεχιστεί η απρόσκοπτη λειτουργία του, γιατί όπως λένε “την έχουν ανάγκη”.
